Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy.
• Assist in operating pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicine, and check interactions.
• Leads Pharmacy Department inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipments.
• Coaches pharmacy technicians and cashiers to drive efficiency in the pharmacy.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies.
