Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in Miami. Under pharmacist supervision, you will enter patient data, prepare and dispense medications, and verify accuracy while maintaining high customer service standards.

You will assist with scheduling, inventory, and performance metrics, and may participate in clinical services as needed. Requires a valid technician certification and 1 year of experience in retail or hospital settings.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in locations with CBAs)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Process manual and third-party claims promptly and accurately.
• Lead inventory management and stock pharmacy supplies.
• Support pharmacy manager in improving financial, service and inventory KPIs.
