Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Department under the supervision of the pharmacist. You will assist with dispensing, entering patient and drug information, and ensuring accuracy of prescriptions while upholding the Walgreens Code of Conduct.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification where required, one year of retail or hospital experience, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing, labeling and verifying prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; ensure accuracy.
• Lead inventory management and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Assist customers in locating OTC products and provide service with courtesy.
