Job summary
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Lead to oversee training, mentor technicians, and drive onboarding, competency validation, and team development. You will coordinate daily technician workflows, ensure medication safety, and support improvement projects across pharmacy practice areas.
The role requires 3+ years in hospital pharmacy, a valid pharmacy technician license, and certifications (NHA or PTCB). Night shift in Shawnee, KS, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of practice experience in an integrated health care system of three or more hospitals.
- 3+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) or Licensed Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
- NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
Responsibilities
- Oversees training programs and mentors pharmacy technicians.
- Supports onboarding, competency validation, and peer development.
- Coordinates daily workflow for the pharmacy technician team.
- Ensures compliance with hospital policies, medication safety standards, and documentation requirements.
- Leads quality improvement and practice advancement projects across assigned areas.
- Represents pharmacy in committees and enterprise initiatives.
