Qualifications

• Must have pharmacy technician experience; 3+ years in retail/hospital settings.
• Knowledge of prescription insurance guidelines and third‑party payer eligibility.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public and medical staff.
• Knowledge of compounding oral/topical medications.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Supports daily operations and department services with minimal supervision.
• Leads medication safety reviews and implements process improvements.
• Oversees adverse drug event reporting and evaluates variances.
• Ensures patient and medication information supports safe care decisions.
• Precepts pharmacy residents and students to support their growth.
• Stays current with literature and education on medication safety.
• Oversees Pharmacy Safety Pharmacists and data analysts.
