Job summary

PharMerica in Vancouver, WA is hiring a full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technician who plays a vital behind-the-scenes role supporting long-term care and senior living communities. The role focuses on accurately entering and processing medication orders to ensure timely and safe patient care.

You'll work with pharmacists and operations teams to input prescription data, verify details, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington Pharmacy Technician License
• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Basic drug terminology and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail in high-volume environment

Responsibilities

• Participates in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitors workflow and reassigns Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
• Prepares Pharmacy Technician schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
• May perform additional tasks and ensure adherence to regulations.
