The TOC Pharmacy Technician completes the admission medication history during an inpatient admission, ambulatory encounter, pre-admission testing, surgery encounter, or within a procedural area under the supervision of a pharmacist, physician, or advance practice provider. The TOC Pharmacy Technician must participate in continuing educational opportunities to meet the annual competency requirements and participate in continual training opportunities provided by the department to develop ongoing skills in other areas of pharmacy.
