VCU Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician III to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, recording, transporting, packaging, and compounding medications for all age groups within a hospital setting.

The role encompasses specialized service lines such as automation, sterile and non-sterile compounding, controlled substances inventory, medication history, and pediatrics, with supervisory responsibilities during weekends and potential leadership duties.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent
• PTCB certification or ExCPT certification
• Virginia State Board of Pharmacy licensure
• Clean criminal record (no felony or disqualifying convictions)

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate competency in CPhT I and II responsibilities and maintain expert-level mastery within specialized areas (automation, compounding, controlled substances, inventory, investigational services, pediatrics)
• Maintain organization within specialization and escalate equipment or operational problems to pharmacy leadership
• Serve as a designated trainer to other team members and students within the specialized area
• Serve as a role model for STARS (Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, Service)
• Support the pharmacy department beyond specialized area within the skillset
