Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Senior Registered Pharmacy Technician focused on purchasing, inventory control, and supply management to support patient care. You will manage stock, par levels, recalls, and supplier coordination while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a background in hospital pharmacy operations, two years of pharmacy experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of pharmacy services or healthcare experience (required)
  • Purchasing/inventory control experience (required)
  • Proficiency with basic PC tools, including Excel
  • Knowledge of Lean management principles and their daily use
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of 340B purchasing requirements (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory levels and reorder points
  • Maintain kanban and inventory accuracy across storage areas
  • Coordinate with wholesalers, recalls, and returns per procedures
  • Monitor blood factor products usage and par levels
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, CQI, and Lean initiatives
  • Process pharmacist-generated purchase requests and supplier communications
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, contracts, and invoices
  • Support batch recalls, shortages, and emergency purchasing as needed
