Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks a senior strategist in specialty pharmacy network design to drive affordability through innovative contracting, network optimization, and market-based pricing. You will analyze market opportunities, support enterprise cost-reduction initiatives, and communicate strategic guidance to senior leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in related field.
5+ years of experience in related field.
In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

Identify and implement specialty pharmacy network strategies and contracting opportunities to support affordability while maintaining access.
Develop network optimization strategies including design, pricing approaches, and reimbursement methodologies.
Support strategic planning, financial and qualitative analysis, and business case development.
Translate market dynamics into strategic recommendations for executives.
Present network strategies and impact assessments to leadership.
Collaborate across departments as SME in specialty pharmacy network strategy and affordability.
Monitor industry trends affecting network performance and cost management.
Engage with specialty pharmacies, PBMs, vendors, providers to evaluate opportunities.
Synthesize progress and communicate outcomes to support alignment.
Advance capabilities to reduce unit costs through network-based solutions.
