Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior Strategic Advisor to apply deep pharmacy industry expertise to identify cost-of-care savings and create revenue-generating programs. You will lead strategic initiatives, collaborate with PBMs and vendors, and present insights to senior leadership across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, market analysis, and strategic execution with a focus on sustainable value creation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in healthcare strategy, business development, product innovation, market development, consulting, pharmacy operations, or related strategic functions.
Master's degree with 3+ years in healthcare strategy, business development, product innovation, market development, consulting, pharmacy operations, or related strategic functions.

Responsibilities

Lead innovative pharmacy strategies to reduce cost of care, improve member outcomes, and support enterprise growth.
Develop and optimize pharmacy products, programs, and partnerships to create new revenue streams and enhance market competitiveness.
Evaluate industry, regulatory, and technology trends to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
Conduct complex financial, operational, and market analyses to support decision-making and investments.
Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Build and manage PBM, vendor, and partner relationships to accelerate value creation.
Collaborate across the enterprise to advance business objectives and execute strategic initiatives.
