Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Pharmacy Professional Practice Coordinator, a senior pharmacist who partners with clinicians to optimize pharmacotherapy for patients. The role includes education, practice management, and participation in research and quality initiatives.

You will lead collaborative care with physicians, nurses and researchers, oversee drug therapy monitoring, and support evidence-based medication practices across the cancer center.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Two years of pharmacy practice experience.
• State of Washington Pharmacist License.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacotherapeutic recommendations to providers, nursing staff, research staff and the health care team to optimize patient care.
• Manage education and professional pharmacy practice for the assigned area or population.
• Contribute to research and teaching activities with students and residents.
• Collaborate with clinicians to individualize drug therapies and ensure safe transitions of care.
• Review prescribing patterns and participate in quality improvement and cost-containment efforts.
