Job summary

SynergenX is seeking a Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations to lead and scale our pharmacy operations in Dallas–Fort Worth, with future relocation to Houston. You will drive strategic and day-to-day leadership across pharmacy teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize workflows for safety, accuracy, and service levels.

This role reports to the CEO and partners with senior leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Significant progressive pharmacy leadership and operations experience.
• Experience managing pharmacy teams, leaders, workflows, and performance.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and implementing scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for pharmacy operations.
• Establish operational priorities, performance expectations, and accountability across pharmacy teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy leaders, pharmacists, technicians, and customer service personnel.
• Evaluate workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
• Build scalable processes and infrastructure to support organizational growth.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and policies.
• Maintain high standards for medication safety, documentation, quality assurance, and confidentiality.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Establish and report pharmacy KPIs and performance metrics.
• Develop dashboards and translate data into recommendations for leadership.
• Use data to guide staffing, capacity, productivity, and cost decisions.
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, controls, and reconciliation.
• Manage vendors, wholesalers, technology partners, and external relationships.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for pharmacy.
• Monitor expenses related to labor, medication, supply, and vendor activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Develop business cases for staffing, technology, and investments.
• Support implementation of new services, technologies, medications, and programs.
• Represent pharmacy operations in executive and cross-functional meetings.
• Communicate performance, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
