Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Manager, Operations to lead inpatient pharmacy services and associated staff. The role focuses on safe, efficient medication use, operational excellence, and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic hospital environment in Alabama.

You will drive projects, maintain compliance with USP standards and regulatory requirements, and mentor pharmacists, technicians, students, and residents to advance clinical practice and operational quality.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or B.S. Degree with 3 years’ experience in Pharmacy; residency preferred.
• Must be licensed or license-eligible to practice in Alabama; license within 60 days of hire.
• 5 years’ hospital pharmacy experience required; supervisory experience.
• Project management skills preferred (lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, manage project plans).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pharmacy operations, staff, programs, and services for inpatient care.
• Ensure safe, timely, efficient, equitable and patient-centered pharmacy services and optimise workflows.
• Ensure compliance with USP 797/795, CMS, Joint Commission and state/federal regulations.
• Mentor pharmacists, technicians, students and residents; contribute to teaching and scholarship.
• Partner with OR, supply chain, and other departments to optimize labor and resource use.
