Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Medical Safety Scientist to serve as the scientific safety lead for the portfolio, driving safety surveillance, signal detection and evaluation, and risk management across development and post‑marketing activities.

This role partners with Safety Physicians and cross‑functional teams, supporting regulatory submissions, governance, and safety governance activities while ensuring inspection readiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• PharmD/PhD/MSN/MPH/RN/NP/PA or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance, or related field.
• Experience with safety surveillance, signal detection, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of FDA/EU/ICH pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scientific safety lead for assigned products across the portfolio.
• Conduct safety data reviews from trials, post‑marketing sources, and literature.
• Lead signal detection, evaluation, and aggregate safety analyses.
• Prepare safety documents and support regulatory submissions and responses.
