Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Global Safety Program Lead, Senior Director to own the safety strategy and delivery for assigned assets.

You will lead safety physicians and scientists, oversee safety content across GPT, and participate in governance forums to align safety with product strategy. This role ensures risk management plans, PSRs, and regulatory submissions meet global PV standards, mentors the safety team, and supports study designs.

Qualifications

• Medical degree or equivalent degree in biomedicine or science.
• 5 years extensive relevant clinical, safety and risk management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO industry, academia or Health Authorities.
• Global pharmacovigilance knowledge and safety deliverables.
• Experience of global regulatory submissions and interacting with major regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the overall safety content and strategy delivery for assigned asset(s).
• Leads Safety & Strategy Management Team (SSaMT) and Safety Surveillance Team.
• Represents safety in governance forums and product teams.
• Mentors safety physicians and scientists.
• Ensures compliance with PV regulations and Safety Health and Environment standards.
