Job summary

AbbVie in Irvine, CA seeks a pharmacovigilance professional to support product safety profile through signal detection, evaluation, and written summaries presented to senior management and regulatory authorities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review safety data from trials and literature, contribute to safety reports, and ensure compliant risk management across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in a Health Sciences field (e.g., Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Nursing).
• Experience in clinical/pharma or safety work is beneficial.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary matrix teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for standard pharmacovigilance surveillance activities across product life cycle.
• Collaborates with safety and clinical teams to develop signal assessment strategies.
• Analyzes data to support signal assessment and regulatory safety requests.
• Assesses safety data impact on benefit-risk profile for regulatory discussions.
• Prepares summaries of safety data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports writing and review of global safety reports (PSUR, CSA, SMC) under supervision.
• Maintains knowledge of PV regulations, guidelines and SOPs.
