Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in MA.
• 5–10 years of experience in hospital and/or retail pharmacy.
• Experience in Long Term Care settings preferred.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Computer skills; ECM/Framework knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions and administration.
• Ensure medications are dispensed with correct labeling.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ databases including medical history and clinical data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and healthcare team members about medications.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Maintain a register of controlled drugs for stock control.
• Ensure proper security of medications.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
