Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Project Manager for a prominent pharmaceutical client in Tempe, AZ. This 100% on-site role requires leadership of complex capital projects from design through GMP turnover, with a focus on scope, cost, and schedule management.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background and 10+ years of capital project experience, including large-scale construction. Relocation at applicant’s expense may be necessary for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Typically 10+ years in capital project engineering.
• Experience on large construction projects with total installed cost > $30M.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of the project execution plan including scope, cost, schedule, safety, quality, risk and change.
• Define and maintain scope boundaries, interfaces, and responsibility matrices.
• Coordinate architectural, process, mechanical, electrical, automation, controls, life-safety interfaces.
• Plan and facilitate design reviews at maturity gates and assess constructability and operability.
• Drive disposition of design comments, issues, gaps, and changes.
• Establish equipment interfaces, utility loads, installation sequencing, and data needs.
• Identify long-lead decisions and schedule constraints with mitigation options.
• Provide technical support during construction, coordinate RFIs and field conflicts.
• Integrate commissioning, startup, GMP turnover, and handover planning.
• Prepare final closeout report with residual items and disposition dates.
