Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and working knowledge of FDA Regulations/Guidance, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Preferred technical knowledge and understanding of statistical analysis tools and methods.
• Must be proactive with experience with high performance teams and strong project management skills.
• Computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheets, project management and PowerPoint; ability to generate and modify reports.
• Must understand mechanical, plant systems, and be able to read construction and process drawings.
• Must interact well across different levels within the company.

Responsibilities

• Implements site engineering projects with design, vendor interaction, and specifications.
• Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Prepares detailed analyses including time, cost, and bill of materials.
• Complies with State, Federal, and local codes including FDA, OSHA, and environmental rules.
• Directs vendors and coordinates activities to meet safety standards.
• Prepares and reviews project documents, bids, funding requests, and schedules.
• Maintains awareness of pharmaceutical manufacturing needs and strives for state-of-the-art facilities.
• Communicates project status to managers and sponsors.
• Assesses risks and safety assessments as required.
• Collaborates with multiple functional teams.
• May monitor energy usage and propose savings measures.
• May support ISO 50001 energy management and cost-reduction efforts.
• Projects executed in a GMP environment.
• Facility knowledge for clean room operations and utilities.
