Job summary

Established Search Ltd. is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer to recruit a Senior R&D Packaging Engineer for primary packaging systems. You will lead development, validation, and commercialisation, supporting new product launches and packaging innovation initiatives.

You will collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to drive improvements and ensure compliance with FDA/EMA/ISO requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role in New York.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical packaging R&D or packaging engineering.
• Experience with polymer materials such as HDPE, PP, PET, COC, or COP.
• Knowledge of primary packaging systems including bottles, closures, syringes, or cartridges.
• Experience with packaging validation and GMP-regulated environments.
• Understanding of FDA, EMA, USP, and ISO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging projects from concept through commercialisation.
• Conduct material selection, testing, and validation activities.
• Support stability, compatibility, and extractables & leachables studies.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.
• Drive packaging innovation and continuous improvement.
