Job summary

Global end to end full service pharmaceutical company seeks an Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, and facilities for compliant pharmaceutical packaging operations. The role drives reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of production equipment and facility systems while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Significant experience leading engineering, maintenance, technical services, or operations teams within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• 6+ years of relevant experience and at least 2+ years in management roles.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing, packaging, OSD, or sterile setting.
• Experience with automated manufacturing, packaging, or forming equipment; pharmaceutical packaging experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, facilities, and manufacturing systems.
• Proven leadership to develop teams and drive growth.
• Strong understanding of RCA, Change Control, CAPA, risk assessments, and validation principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor engineering, maintenance, validation, and technical services teams.
• Establish and manage comprehensive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and facility performance.
• Drive proactive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and technical stakeholders to support objectives.
• Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget delivery.
• Support specification, installation, startup, qualification, and lifecycle management of manufacturing and packaging systems.
• Utilize data and metrics to identify and implement process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using risk assessments, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Develop strategies to minimize production interruptions and optimize changeovers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and equipment performance.
• Align workforce capabilities through training and development programs.
• Analyze operational trends to support strategic decisions and excellence.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, environmental standards, and internal quality systems.
• Oversee validation lifecycle management and audit readiness.
• Lead regulatory inspections and customer validations as a technical SME.
