Job summary

CONVOTIS Iberia seeks an experienced network professional to manage firewall and network topics across projects. You will implement IPSec VPNs, document configurations, and design network environments with a strong emphasis on clean documentation.

You will work with SOC on firewall logs, participate in shift duties, and mentor colleagues while expanding your own technical horizon. Fluent English and Spanish are required, and German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in networking or security
• Hands-on with pfSense/OPNsense and IPSec VPNs
• Experience with BGP or other dynamic routing protocols
• Networking on Proxmox and switches (Dell preferred)
• IPv4/IPv6 handling
• Basic network automation experience (Ansible, Python, Bash)
• Fluent English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Manage network and firewall topics across CONVOTIS / MCON from day‑to‑day operations to project work
• Independently implement and document IPSec VPNs and firewall rules on pfSense/OPNsense
• Design and document network environments following documentation‑before‑implementation
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and VPN connectivity issues
• Introduce basic network automation (Ansible, Python, Bash) to deployments
• Collaborate with SOC to analyze firewall logs and mitigate incidents
• Train and onboard colleagues and share knowledge within the team
• Suggest improvements to configurations and technical details
• Participate in shift duties with NOC/SOC Operations Team (nights/weekends/holidays)
• Take on tasks beyond core role to broaden knowledge
