Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Northern California seeks an Experienced Remediation Engineer or Geologist (PFAS) to lead PFAS investigations, remedial evaluations, and treatment/mitigation projects from offices in Oakland, Walnut Creek, or Sacramento.

The role focuses on technical leadership, project delivery, permitting/regulatory coordination, and selecting PFAS remedies for private and public-sector clients, with opportunities to mentor staff and grow the PFAS/remediation practice.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct environmental consulting experience with a focus on PFAS investigations/remediation/treatment
• Strong technical foundation in remediation and PFAS methods
• Experience managing projects including resource allocation, quality, and financials
• Thorough understanding of CalEPA and USEPA regulations related to PFAS
• Mentoring and managing professional staff; excellent technical leadership

Responsibilities

• Manage PFAS and remediation projects including scope, budget, schedule, QA/QC, and client communications
• Develop PFAS CSMS and investigation strategies with multi-media sampling
• Lead PFAS work plans, data interpretation, and remedy design and selection
• Oversee pilot studies and full-scale PFAS remedy implementation and O&M
• Prepare technical deliverables and provide review/approval of project work products
• Support business development and client relationship growth
• Mentor junior staff and oversee PFAS sampling and data quality
• Fieldwork and travel to client sites as needed
• Drive to client sites using company or rental vehicles
