Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking a Sr. Manager, Permitting to plan and oversee discretionary land use and natural resources permitting for utility-scale solar and storage projects.

You will coordinate with Development, Origination, Engineering, and Asset Management to ensure approvals and compliance across regions. The role requires seven plus years in discretionary permits, strong communication, and strategic problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/studies, land use planning, geography, or related field; master’s preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in discretionary land use permits and natural resource permits.
• Arizona experience strongly preferred and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of discretionary permitting requirements for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
• Develop permitting strategy including schedule and budget across jurisdictions.
• Source and manage external consultants across environmental, legal and local affairs.
• Directly manage the permitting process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage with regulators and local communities to support project approvals.
• Oversee transition to project execution and assets management with permits in place.
• Travel nationally as needed to advance Strata’s goals.
