Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Environmental Permitting Manager to support and grow our power business in the Midwest, leading permitting programs for regulated utility generation and other energy technologies. You will guide complex environmental documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while supporting client development and market activities.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge (CWA, ESA, NEPA), strong leadership, and proven writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10 years of total experience in the environmental consulting industry.
• 5 years of experience managing environmental permitting projects, technical teams, schedules/budgets, and delivery of high-quality work products.
• 2 years of experience leading project pursuits, including direct client communication and preparation of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Experience coordinating with Midwest federal, state, and local natural resource permitting agencies.
• Ability to lead project delivery with strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent technical writing and strategic problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary site assessment, permitting, and environmental documentation for power projects.
• Support growth of client relationships and lead pursuits/proposal development.
• Coordinate with account leaders and participate in market-facing events to raise Arcadis’ profile.
