Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Environmental Permitting Manager to support and grow our power business in the Midwest, with focus on permitting utility generation, transmission, and other energy projects. The role includes project leadership, client development, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in environmental regulations (Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, NEPA), excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, geology, water resources, or similar environmental discipline.
• 10 years of total experience in environmental consulting.
• 5 years managing environmental permitting projects and teams.
• 2 years leading project pursuits and client communication.
• Experience coordinating with Midwest permitting agencies for power projects.
• Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary site assessment, permitting, and environmental documentation for power projects.
• Engage in permitting for utility generation, transmission, and other energy technologies.
• Provide QA/QC for client deliverables and coordinate stormwater, erosion control, and related civil components.
• Support business development and account growth, including client relationship management.
