Job summary

Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer focused on perimeter security within the Finance domain.

You will design, implement, and support security controls across the enterprise and integrate them into existing infrastructure while reducing operational risk. You will work with Cyber Security to align capabilities with policies and standards, coordinate deployments with business units, and operate within an agile framework to deliver defined objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years in an IT engineering role
• Knowledge of SDLC and security controls
• Fundamental knowledge of on‑prem perimeter security (proxy, NGFW)
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud perimeter security (WAF, DoS, ZTNA)
• Experience creating technical documents (engineering specs, runbooks, playbooks)

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement and support perimeter security controls
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to align with policies and standards
• Coordinate deployment with business units to minimize service disruption
• Operate in an agile framework with sprints and defined objectives
• Provide progress updates via JIRA and daily scrums
• Serve as tier-4 support and participate in after-hours rotations
• Enhance capabilities and knowledge base to drive operational excellence
