Job summary

Active Alliance is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer with 12+ years of experience in performance engineering, APM/RUM, and cloud environments to lead end-to-end performance analysis across distributed architectures.

You will identify bottlenecks, tune JVMs, design load tests, and develop scripts with JMeter, K6, and Gatling while building observability dashboards with AppDynamics, ELK, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Performance Testing / Performance Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in APM & RUM – AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog.
• Hands-on experience with AWS & Azure.
• AWS services: ECS, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ALB.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL database performance tuning experience.
• Distributed caching and data-access optimization.
• Core Web Vitals, browser performance, web rendering & CDN optimization.
• Frontend performance analysis using Lighthouse & Chrome DevTools.
• Performance automation with JMeter, K6 & Gatling.
• Strong observability and dashboarding experience with AppDynamics, Quantum Metric, ELK & Grafana.
• Experience with cloud-native, distributed and microservices-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end performance analysis across applications, databases, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, JFR, and YourKit.
• Perform JVM tuning, analysis, thread analysis, database query optimization, caching, and microservices performance optimization.
• Design and execute Load, Stress, Soak, Endurance, and Scalability testing.
• Develop performance test scripts using JMeter, K6, and Gatling.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for scalability, reliability, and user experience.
• Build dashboards and observability solutions using tools such as AppDynamics, Quantum Metric, ELK, and Grafana.

The ideal candidate will be able to conduct end-to-end performance analysis, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and design and execute various performance tests.
