Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego seeks a Sr. Performance Improvement Specialist to lead quality improvement initiatives and reduce practice variation.

You will work with the CM0 and leadership to evaluate medical staff performance, drive PI projects, and support hospital quality and safety planning. The role requires nursing or health-related degrees with 3+ years in healthcare PI, strong data analysis capability, and experience in case reviews.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health-related field.
• 3+ years in healthcare performance improvement/quality/patient safety.
• Experience interacting with staff, leaders, physicians, patients and families.
• Experience designing and managing data collection and analyzing data.
• Previous case review experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Performance Improvement projects across departments.
• Facilitate PI activities and CAP workshops; coach Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Coordinate provider-specific profiles for ongoing evaluation and credentialing.
• Ensure data integrity and accurate reporting of improvement outcomes.
• Provide education and technical support for development and maintenance of PI initiatives.
