Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Senior Performance Test Engineer to define and execute performance practices for Online and Mobile Banking. You will partner with engineering, DevOps and product teams to establish baselines, run scalable tests, and drive improvements across the SDLC.

You will design realistic workload models, analyze bottlenecks, and build automated testing in CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability, availability and exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in performance testing or related quality engineering roles for high-volume apps.
• Hands-on with JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, Gatling or k6.
• Strong SQL/database performance analysis and CI/CD experience.
• Analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and optimize systems.
• Effective communication for diverse audiences and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and run load, stress, endurance and capacity tests for web, mobile and API apps.
• Establish baselines, SLOs and acceptance criteria; model realistic workloads.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks across app, DB, infra and network.
• Collaborate with engineering to tune and optimize performance.
• Build automated performance testing frameworks and integrate with CI/CD.
• Produce reports and executive summaries; support release readiness with risk assessments.
