Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Senior Performance Test Engineer to design and execute performance testing for Online and Mobile Banking, ensuring scalability, reliability, and availability while supporting exceptional member experiences.

You will partner with engineering, architecture, DevOps, infrastructure, product, and vendor teams to identify risks and improve performance across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in performance testing/engineering for high-volume web, mobile, API, or distributed apps.
• Hands-on with performance tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, Gatling or k6.
• Strong SQL and database performance analysis.
• Experience with Agile delivery and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, online or mobile banking environments.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic).
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute load, stress, volume, endurance, and capacity tests for web, mobile, and API apps.
• Establish baselines, SLOs, and performance acceptance criteria.
• Create workload models simulating member behavior and production volumes.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks in application, database, infrastructure, and network.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Build and maintain automated performance testing frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Monitor performance trends and provide scalability, reliability, and resiliency recommendations.
• Produce performance reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
