Job summary

Meta is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer to join the Capacity Planning and Optimization Engineering (CPOE) team to optimize site-wide performance and capacity across servers, data centers and network. You will design software systems, build models, and collaborate with product, finance and infra to balance capacity, power, and cost as Meta scales.

The role offers exposure to AI, Metaverse and large-scale infrastructure with a focus on scalable, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 8+ years in performance or software engineering and/or optimization.
• 8+ years designing and implementing optimization models.
• 4+ years coding in Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Experience in infrastructure operations and cross-functional teams.
• Experience optimizing complex systems with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure capacity planning for servers, data centers, and networks.
• Design, implement, and launch software to improve capacity planning.
• Contribute to end-to-end capacity planning processes and data.
• Manage escalations and exceptions in capacity planning.
• Build models for simulation, optimization, and scenario analysis.
• Collaborate across infra, product, and finance to scale infrastructure.
• Balance short-term operations with long-term high-impact projects.
