Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years shipping perception/SLAM systems in robotics or real-time vision.
• Strong background in SLAM, VIO, probabilistic state estimation, and deep learning for CV.
• Experience with detection, segmentation, multi-object tracking, 3D perception and mapping.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience deploying models on edge hardware under compute/latency/thermal constraints.
• Track record of shipping ML/Perception or SLAM systems into production robotics.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of perception and SLAM pipelines for humanoid robots.
• Develop multi-sensor fusion for cameras, LiDAR, depth sensors, and IMUs.
• Contribute to scalable data pipelines and training/evaluation frameworks.
• Drive learning-based models for SLAM, 3D scene understanding, and perception for locomotion.
• Implement profiling, testing, and telemetry to meet latency and reliability on edge devices.
• Collaborate with planning/control/hardware teams for perception-to-action interfaces.
• Guide synthetic data integration with real-world datasets to improve generalization.
• Contribute to code quality, model versioning, reproducibility and deployment.
