Qualifications

• 6+ years of applied perception, CV, ML, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ with PyTorch/JAX/TensorFlow.
• Deep learning for visual or multimodal perception and evaluation.
• Probability, optimization, 3D geometry, sensor fusion and calibration.
• 3+ years moving perception research into real-time or production systems.
• Strong experimental design and ability to communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perception research and algorithm development for detection, segmentation, tracking and fusion.
• Define datasets, metrics, benchmarks, and evaluation protocols.
• Build reproducible training pipelines and analyze failure modes.
• Optimize models for latency, power, memory, and on-device deployment.
• Lead collaborations across robotics, hardware, and product teams.
• Mentor scientists and contribute to research roadmap.
