Job summary

ArcBest is seeking a Robotics Engineer III - Perception to architect full-stack vision solutions, improve CV models, and lead AI initiatives using real-world data. You will work with embedded hardware, GPUs, and cloud data pipelines, guiding junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and continuous improvement within an Agile/CI framework while engaging with senior leadership and customers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in robotics, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year as Robotics Engineer II - Perception or equivalent (preferred).
• 4 years of production-level C++/Python coding experience.
• Experience with autonomous mobile robots, ROS2, Docker and version control (GitHub).

Responsibilities

• Architect full-stack vision solutions.
• Investigate novel computer vision approaches to optimize performance.
• Leverage real-world video and sensor data for data mining, curation, labeling, training, and evaluation.
• Lead efforts to enhance computer vision training sets.
• Refine and optimize models for low latency on embedded hardware.
• Develop and optimize GPU-accelerated applications.
• Implement models, data pipelines, and active learning in real-world use cases.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, building a strong AI team.
• Apply Agile and CI practices in software development.
