Job summary

ArcBest is seeking a Robotics Engineer - Perception to design, test, and implement software for perception and robotic systems at our Fort Smith facility. You will work with C/C++, Python, and CUDA, building perception pipelines, 3D point clouds, and machine learning components to meet project goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or CS, with a Master’s preferred, and experience in computer vision or AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required for the role.
• Master's degree in robotics, EE, CS, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior experience in computer vision, AI, or a related field is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and build robotic software systems that are productive and safe to operate.
• Create advanced algorithms for robotic perception.
• Develop software and processes that dictate robotic systems functionality.
• Utilize computer vision algorithms for perception pipelines.
• Utilize 3D Point Cloud processing for perception pipelines.
• Utilize machine learning algorithms to enhance perception systems for robustness and speed.
• Utilize appropriate language/development stack including C, C++, or Python.
• Develop and document system requirements and allocate/decompose them to components/controllers.
