Job summary

Stoneridge in Novi, MI is seeking a Senior Perception Engineer to architect multimodal perception for commercial vehicles. You will integrate camera, radar, LiDAR and ultrasonic inputs, and develop real-time embedded software across ARM Cortex, NVIDIA Jetson, and TI Jacinto platforms.

The role requires strong C/C++ and Python skills, OpenCV/OpenVX, and experience with ADAS components. Telecommuting is permitted with 20% travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience.
• 3 years of programming experience in C, C++, and Python; experience with ML frameworks and software architecture.
• Experience with embedded software and ARM-based platforms; OpenVX/OpenCV/OpenGL proficiency.
• 1 year of camera sensor development experience; ADAS components knowledge.
• Telecommuting is permitted and there is 20% domestic travel in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Architect conceptual designs for commercial vehicle perception systems with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and debugg real-time embedded software in C/C++ and Python on ARM Cortex, NVIDIA Jetson, TI Jacinto.
• Implement computer vision algorithms using OpenCV/OpenVX and optimize for edge devices.
• Engineer sensor integration, calibration, and fusion with ISO26262 and cybersecurity standards.
• Create technical documentation, validation reports, and lead technical reviews.
