REGENXBIO in Rockville, MD is seeking an Associate Director, People Business Partner to advise leaders across functions and translate business priorities into practical people strategies in a fast-paced, science-driven environment. This on-site role emphasizes hands-on collaboration and relationship building with teams and stakeholders.

You will own full life-cycle recruiting for assigned functions, lead talent and succession discussions, shape organizational design, drive performance management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience advising leaders and delivering solutions across multiple HR disciplines.
• Experience in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, or life sciences environment preferred.
• Strong business judgment and ability to connect people decisions to organizational goals.
• Experience in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, change leadership, and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
• Knowledge of HR systems and workforce analytics to develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Clear communication and ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Align priorities with the Senior Director, People & Business Partner and deliver consistent people practices.
• Advise senior leaders on workforce, talent, organizational design, and leadership strategies.
• Guide managers and employees with clear, practical HR guidance across the lifecycle.
• Own full life-cycle recruiting for assigned functions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer, and onboarding transition.
• Lead talent and succession discussions and build strong talent pipelines.
• Coach leaders on goal setting, feedback, performance management, and development.
• Guide leaders through change with communications and adoption support.
• Lead or support employee relations matters and workplace investigations with sound judgment.
• Use workforce data to identify trends, surface risks, recommend action, and measure impact.
