The Senior People & Culture Partner is a broad, hands-on People & Culture role responsible for supporting the day-to-day people needs of our US business and ensuring our people processes are delivered effectively and consistently.

Working closely with managers and employees, the role will provide practical support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee changes, compensation and benefits, people systems and offboarding.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the business and taking ownership of people matters from start to finish. Alongside day-to-day responsibilities, there will also be the opportunity to lead and contribute to key people operations projects, helping to improve processes, systems and the overall employee and manager experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical advice and support on employee relations, performance, absence, conduct and other day-to-day people matters.
  • Support managers in addressing employee issues effectively, consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Manage employee relations cases and maintain accurate and appropriate documentation.
  • Support managers with performance improvement plans, probation reviews and employee development conversations.
  • Escalate complex or higher-risk matters appropriately and work with internal or external specialists where required.
Employee Lifecycle & People Operations
  • Take ownership of key People processes across the US employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and support onboarding, employee changes, promotions, transfers and offboarding.
  • Ensure employee documentation and records are accurate, complete and appropriately maintained.
  • Support the preparation of employment documentation and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with the wider People & Culture team to ensure processes are delivered consistently and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve day-to-day People processes.
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support managers with recruitment activity and hiring processes across the US.
  • Coordinate with the wider People & Culture team to ensure recruitment processes are followed consistently.
  • Support new hires through the pre-employment and onboarding process.
  • Work with managers to ensure new employees have a positive and well-structured onboarding experience.
Performance & Development
  • Support the delivery of company performance and goal-setting processes across the US.
  • Provide managers with practical support and guidance throughout performance review cycles.
  • Support the implementation of development plans and performance improvement plans where required.
  • Assist with talent and succession activities and other People & Culture programmes.
  • Support the administration and delivery of US compensation and benefit processes.
  • Coordinate employee compensation changes, promotions and other reward-related updates.
  • Support annual salary review and bonus processes.
  • Liaise with relevant benefit providers and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Respond to employee and manager queries relating to People policies, benefits and processes.
People Systems, Data & Reporting

US Policies, Compliance & Governance
  • Support the implementation and day-to-day application of People policies and processes across the US.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained.
  • Support compliance with relevant US employment requirements, working with internal and external specialists where necessary.
  • Highlight potential People risks or compliance issues and ensure these are appropriately escalated.
About You
  • Strong generalist HR/People experience within a US environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on role and managing People matters from start to finish.
  • Excellent working knowledge of US employment practices.
  • Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
  • Experience across employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
