Job summary

Sophos is seeking a Penetration Testing Analyst 3 to join our Red Team on a remote-first basis. You will coordinate testing readiness, perform advanced security assessments, and deliver detailed reports to clients worldwide.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in information security, strong testing skills (web/mobile/API or network), and experience with tools like Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and Burp Suite. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security experience.
• Minimum 3 years of penetration testing experience.
• 3+ years with at least one: Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Burp Suite.
• Desirable: offensive certifications (CEH, GWAPT, OSCP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate readiness, documentation, and communications with clients and project teams.
• Conduct application, mobile, API, or network security testing using tools and manual methods.
• Produce vulnerability and exploit information in professional security assessment reports.
• Lead client conference calls from test readiness to close‑out review.
• Research new threats and exploits to enhance engagement quality.
