Job summary

Sophos is seeking a Senior Penetration Testing Analyst 2 to join our Red Team. Focus areas include web/mobile/API testing or network assessments, using tools to simulate advanced attacks. You will deliver comprehensive security reports and lead client calls from kickoff to remediation.

The role emphasizes strong technical communication, proactive threat research, and collaboration within a global team. Remote work is supported with potential travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional penetration testing experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Desirable: CEH, WAPT, GPEN, GWAPT, GAWN, OSCP or similar certifications.
• Experience with NetSparker and AppScan is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and TCP/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application security assessments (web, mobile, API) or network penetration testing.
• Produce professional security assessment reports with findings and remediation recommendations.
• Lead client conference calls from kickoff through close-out.
• Research new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to improve testing.
• Excel as a contributor and as part of a team.
