Job summary

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA or CRNP) to support the Pediatric Heart and Vascular Institute. Inpatient setting with 90% inpatient and 10% CT surgery outpatient clinic responsibilities, primarily 3 12-hour shifts.

Staffed within a large APP group including PAs and NPs, a strong emphasis on collaboration with cardiology and CT surgery teams. Fellowship programs are offered to prepare APPs for specialized pediatric cardiology care.

Qualifications

• BSN/MSN preferred for CRNP or PA licensure.
• Current RN license and CRNP certification required.
• National certification for advanced practice.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with independent judgment and teamwork.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support clinical development of care team members.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and families.
• Align practice with department goals and patient safety standards.

Education

Graduate of CRNP program or ARC-PA accredited PA program

BSN/MSN preferred

Current RN license and CRNP certification

National certification

Current CPR certification
