Job summary

The Hiring Group is helping a client in Greenville, SC recruit a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for commercial, industrial and institutional projects. This hands-on leadership role offers mentorship, technical ownership, and potential partnership within the firm, with a salary range of $115,000 to $135,000 depending on experience.

AutoCAD and Revit proficiency are required, along with NEC/IEEE/NFPA knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Active PE license is required.
Experience with power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local electrical codes.
Management experience on projects.
Forensic engineering or failure analysis is a plus.
Experience with renewable energy systems (solar PV), generators, or UPS is a plus.
Client development or proposal-writing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own electrical system design from concept through construction.
Design power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
Perform load calculations and coordination studies.
Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring layouts, specs.
Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
Support construction activities including site visits and commissioning.
Coordinate designs with mechanical, civil, and structural teams.
Mentor junior engineers and provide QA/QC oversight.
Interface with clients, utilities, and vendors for code compliance and on-time delivery.
