Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is seeking a technical expert in Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) to repair dents on exterior vehicle surfaces using PDR techniques and a variety of tools. The role involves planning work, applying dent removal methods, and ensuring documentation for production processes.

The candidate should have strong problem solving skills, experience with sheet metal and automotive body repair, and an ability to work in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR Associate degree + 1 year relevant experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR Associate degree + 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Pound out small dents with a hammer, pick hammer, or punch.
• Identifies the most appropriate option / solution to adjust or improve existing approaches.
• Plan work to be performed.
• Position dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beat opposite surfaces to remove dents.
