Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced Physical Verification engineer for leading-edge IP/SoC PV work. You will plan and execute PV runs, identify root causes, and drive solutions with customer collaboration.

Proficiency with ICV, Calibre, and Pegasus, plus strong communication, will enable you to mentor teams and maintain training materials while supporting customer success in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Physical Verification or PV design methodology.
• Experience with PV tools and flows: ICV, Calibre, Pegasus.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Verification (DRC/LVS/ERC/Density/LU, etc.) for Intel leading-edge PDKs
• Perform Physical Verification runs
• Identify violations and work with teams to clarify root causes

• Perform Physical Verification runs
• Identify violations and work with teams to clarify root causes
• Find and/or implement solutions to Physical Verification issues
• Own and maintain training documents and user guides
• Support customer issues
• Work with customers to outline critical requirements
• Collaborate with Intel internal partners and DTP stakeholders to define issue scope, plan execution, and develop solutions

Requirements

• BS degree with 7+ years of experience in Physical Verification, Physical Design Methodology, Design Enablement, or EDA Applications Engineering; or MS degree with 5+ years of experience; or PhD degree with 3+ years of experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related STEM fields
• 3+ years of experience in a Physical Verification role for IP or SoC
• Experience with Physical Verification tools and flows such as ICV, Calibre, and Pegasus
• Experience solving PV issues, including design rule interpretation, root cause identification, and runset/flow debugging
• Advanced-node Intel and/or external foundry process technology knowledge
• Experience interacting and communicating directly with customers
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-oriented and self-motivated mindset
