Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is hiring a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for PCBA (Starshield) to own demand planning and strategic sourcing for hardware used in satellites and production. You will balance cost, quality, and lead-time targets while scaling production for high-volume builds.

You’ll work across the Starshield Supply Chain team to drive end-to-end sourcing, RFx execution, and supplier collaborations, ensuring mature supplier relationships and data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering; OR 5+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA procurement and supplier engagement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies.
• Aggregate demand for hardware to support the Starshield constellation and enable accurate signaling.
• Serve as the supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Lead RFX processes with internal stakeholders and translate results into sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for cost analysis.
• Ensure prototype builds have required equipment for development and mass production.
• Drive process improvements and cost-saving programs with suppliers.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives and manage supplier performance data.
