Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc in Chandler, AZ is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to contribute to hardware Dev Tool products. You will design high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics, ensuring manufacturability, testability, and EMC compliance while closely collaborating with the HW design team.

You will maintain PCB/Sch drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation; generate Gerber data; and coordinate with PCB vendors and contract manufacturers while upholding the company’s quality

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7.5+ years PCB layout experience and signal integrity knowledge.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Fusion/Inventor.

Responsibilities

• PCB layout of Microchip hardware Dev Tool products.
• Collaborate with HW Design team to meet manufacturability, testability, safety, EMC and RoHS requirements.
• Design high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics using EDA tools.
• Maintain HW quality process documents (PCB/Sch, BOM, product drawings, assembly).
• Generate Gerber outputs, stacking, drilling detail, and component placement.
• Coordinate with PCB vendors and Assembly Contract Manufacturers.
