Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and validate complex PCBs for a next-generation proteomics platform in Cambridge, MA. You will lead multilayer PCB development, architect mixed-signal circuits, and collaborate across firmware, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver robust hardware from concept to production.

The role emphasizes high-speed interfaces, signal and power integrity, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in PCB design and hardware development.
• Experience with multilayer PCB design for mixed-signal/high-speed systems.
• Experience with USB, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, SPI, I2C.
• Signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Board bring-up, debugging, lab instrumentation, and manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex, multilayer PCBs for advanced instrumentation.
• Architect mixed-signal, high-speed, low-noise circuits including FEs, PMU, data acquisition, and embedded processing.
• Collaborate with SW/HW teams and external vendors for seamless integration.
• Produce documentation: schematics, layouts, validation reports, specs.
• Drive DFM/DFT best practices and design reviews.
