Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Electrical Designer II to join our PCB Design team in Brookfield, WI. You will work on power tool electronics using Altium, collaborating with engineers and senior designers. The role can be remote with occasional travel to our Brookfield Headquarters.

You will expand your PCB design skills, communicate complex layout topics, and participate in design reviews and documentation processes to deliver high-performance products.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of PCBA design and assembly experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBA for AC and DC circuits in new and existing Milwaukee Tool products.
• Define PCBA dimensions, floor-planning, power/ground planes, placement and routing for manufacturability.
• Identify and resolve DRC errors using Milwaukee Design Rules.
• Prepare PCB designs for technical reviews per Milwaukee processes.
• Generate PCB document packages per Milwaukee standards.
• Collaborate with PCB vendors to source prototypes.
• Maintain component footprints, schematic symbols, and 3D models in ECAD library.
• Coordinate ECAD/MCAD file transfers with mechanical design team.
• Complete IPC training to enhance design skills.
• Commit to CID training completion.
